Switching from a baby tracker that went subscription-only

A lot of parents find Ahhlo the same way. The tracker they’ve used since the hospital starts asking for a monthly fee, and suddenly there’s nowhere to log the 3 a.m. feed. This page covers what moving over looks like.

What usually happened

We hear a few versions of it:

Apps cost money to run, so none of this is strange. Ahhlo just pays for itself differently: some parents buy Pro once, and that’s it. There’s no monthly plan.

What you get for free

What Pro adds

Pro is a one-time purchase through the App Store or Google Play.

Moving over

  1. Export from your old app before you delete it. Some apps keep export open after a trial ends, some don’t. Either way, get the file while you can and keep it somewhere safe.
  2. Install Ahhlo and sign in with Apple or Google.
  3. Add your baby and log from now on. If a feed or nap is already under way, tap Already started? on the timer and set the real start time.
  4. Fill in today if you want to. Switch the log sheet to Earlier to add the feeds and diapers from this morning.
  5. Invite your partner from the baby’s care team. They type the code into the app on their phone. Codes expire after 15 minutes, so send it when they’re ready.

Can I bring my old history?

Not yet. Ahhlo can’t read other apps’ export files today, so your history starts on the day you switch. Keep the export from your old app as your record.

If importing would make the difference for you, tell us at support@bean-studio.com. It’s one of the things we’re weighing, and hearing from parents helps us decide.

A note on privacy

Your logs stay on your phone until you turn on sync or invite someone. After that they’re stored under your account, and the database only lets you and the caregivers you invite read them. No ads, no third-party analytics, and we don’t sell your data or train AI on it. The details are in the Privacy Policy.
